School Goals 2009/2010
1. Goal area: Building Culture Goal: To continue the development of a new school culture that enhances student learning and social responsibility aided by the support of the broader school community.
Target: 1. To identify, articulate, model, and promote shared values to influence and change our school's culture. 2. To increase the ability of students to demonstrate socially responsible behaviour.
2. Goal area: Assessment for Learning Goal: To improve student achievement in all subject areas through the use of Assessment for Learning practices.
Objectives: 1. To examine the effect that establishing a clear purpose (defining learning intentions) will have on student learning. 2. To develop the use of "descriptive feedback" (feedback that emphsizes the learning intentions) as a means of improving student performance.
