Code of Citizenship


At David Cameron,

We Respect:

Ourselves and others
This means:
WE accept and respect ourselves;
WE accept others regardless of differences such as race, culture or appearance;
WE treat others with care and consideration; and
WE listen and speak thoughtfully and politely to each other.

Learning
This means:
WE listen to our school staff and to each other;
WE participate in classroom activities;
WE respect the opinion of others;
WE do our best work; and
WE try

Our School and Property
This means:
WE take pride in our school and community environment; and
WE respect the property of others.

The Safety of Ourselves and Others
This means:
WE need to feel safe and behave in a safe way; and
WE play safely showing consideration for ourselves and other by refraining from rough play, threatening, bullying or physically harming others.




Consequences and Support

Any breach of the David Cameron Code of Conduct will be subject to one or more of the following actions:

·  Warning
·  Recording of incident, suitable consequence such as writing a letter of apology, filling out an incident sheet, serving a detention and/or making restitution.
·  Notify administration
·  Notify parents
·  In-school suspension
·  Referral to School Based Team
·  Counseling
·  Full out-of-school suspension
·  Referral to District Discipline Committee


In accordance with District Policy and the Criminal Code, there will be zero tolerance for the following:

·  Disobeying or refusing to follow adult directions
·  Verbal abuse
·  Physical abuse
·  Intimidation
·  Sexual harassment
·  Possession or use of illegal substances (drugs, alcohol, tobacco)
·  Possession or use of weapons
